The Land

My favorite summer reading book is probably "The Land." It's my favorite because it has history of what it was like after there was slavery. Slavery is one of the big topics that was in the world that everyone talked about. It shows how one boy group and made a good life for himself and it talked about all his struggles he had to go trew to get there. He did not get to be treated like the whites because he was part black, he had to go threw his best friend dieing, and depts he had to pay back. Mostly back they had the sane struggles we have right now. That is also another reason I liked "The Land" better then "The Light in The Forest." I like a book that I can relate to in the world today. To me overall "The Land" was my favorite summer reading book.
